Are you able to choose mold materials that match the processed materials and processing methods?
If the mold material does not match the processing method, it can cause wear, damage, corrosion, and product defects! We analyze the parts and propose suitable materials! *Case study collection available.
Our company contributes to solving the problems faced by our customers, such as improving the lifespan of mold parts. One customer consulted us, saying, "We are punching work materials with a carbide punch, but the wear at the tip is severe. We want to extend the lifespan of the punch to increase productivity." In response, we analyzed the worn punch we received. It was determined that iron was adhering to the tip of the punch, promoting wear, so we proposed a carbide material that is less prone to iron adhesion. After implementing the countermeasures, despite the new material having a higher number of strokes, the amount of adhered work material decreased, resulting in less wear. [Case Study] [Before Countermeasure Material] ■ Number of Strokes: 500,000 to 1.5 million ■ Wear at Punch Tip: Approximately 0.8mm ↓ [After Countermeasure Material] ■ Number of Strokes: 1.8 million ■ Wear at Punch Tip: Approximately 0.2mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
